so i live in salt lake city and let's be honest, utah loves jonathan jones/waking ashland/we shot the moon/whatever jonathan will ever do. ever. it's true, so true that he even did a simple pre-tour before the full-fledged sherwood spot that we jokingly referred to as the "God Bless Utah Tour." so... salt lake's Deseret Morning News printed an article today about the boys :) even if it's not entirely factually accurate (i.e. dan and joe from sherwood recorded the album with jonathan, not paul and trev), it's fun to see the boys get some press!We Shot the Moon has own style
Group will release its debut album later this spring
When his band Waking Ashland folded, pianist/vocalist Jonathan Jones formed a band called the Honor Roll, before changing its name to We Shot the Moon.
"I wanted to make a band that was more upbeat," said Jones during a phone call form Akron, Ohio. "And while the new band is piano-driven, there are more guitars in the music."
